2008 Super Bowl Ads Demystified; Northwestern University Graduate Students Leverage Multi-Touch Mobility and Social Networking for Tracking Super Bowl Advertising
Northwestern University students, in collaboration with faculty from the Kellogg School of Management, create a new technology called MIMIEO for monitoring advertising effectiveness. Football fans will be able to provide real-time feedback on each of the commercials through the social networking website Facebook.com, the Apple iPhone, and the multimedia website www.mimieo.com.
Chicago, IL, January 30, 2008 –(PR.com)– With nearly 100 million facebook users, PickMe (a Facebook application designed by MIMIEO) will for the first time allow users to provide real-time feedback by providing quick and easy access to each of the commercials, as well as live results on each of the ads rankings. The PickMe application will be available over the web for use on a variety of mobile phone platforms such as the new Apple iPhone. Fans will also be able to view and rank ads through the multimedia website www.mimieo.com/vote.
Over one million consumer feedback responses are anticipated via the PickMe application and www.mimieovote.com. Using a unique set of questions, coupled with real-time content and rankings, the PickMe application is poised to uncover new insight into ad effectiveness. Northwestern students expect to reveal some surprising results.
